Educated at Mansfield and Maidstone Colleges of Art and the Royal Academy of Arts, Mark was awarded a Fellowship at Cheltenham College of Art. As well as a number of self-curated shows in recent years, Mark has regularly exhibited at Christies, the Royal Academy of Arts, severalLondon galleries, and the Royal Academy Schools East Anglia Group.
Mark’s paintings and drawings aim to bring out the special nature of each particular place, with sites regularly re-visited at different times of day and across the changing seasons. His highly detailed paintings use inventive and closely observed colour, subtle gradations of tone and carefully arranged compositions to communicate the sense of mood and uniqueness he finds at each particular site.
